Who are we?

Strong Towns Richmond Hill is a grassroots group of Richmond Hill residents who want to make our community a better and safer place to live.

As a group, we are not members or supporters of a specific political party.

The Group’s goal is to introduce more people to the Strong Towns ideas. But we are not here just for talk.

Here’s our action plan:

1 Humbly observe where people in the community struggle.

2 Ask the question: What is the next smallest thing we can do right now to address that struggle?

3 Do that thing. Do it right now.

4 Repeat the above steps.

Our problem was not, and is not, a lack of growth. Our problem is 60 years of unproductive growth — growth that has buried us in financial liabilities. The American pattern of development does not create real wealth. It creates the illusion of wealth.

Saeed V. • Local Group Leader, Strong Towns, Richmond Hill

I’ve just moved to Richmond Hill. But I like this place and want to see it become even better. Strong Towns’ ideas give me the inspiration and help me achieve my goal.

Mari G. • Local Group Member, Strong Towns, Richmond Hill

I’m sick of almost getting killed by bad infrastructure and car dependency.
