A local voice. A stronger city.
Richmond Hill is changing.
Be part of what comes next.
You live here. You care about this city. You deserve a voice in its future. We’ve built a local platform that asks tough questions, brings neighbours together and keeps showing up. Now imagine what we could do with more people behind it.
Its future is our business.
We’ve built a voice. Now let’s make it stronger.
What kinds of homes can we build? Will our streets be safer? Are we spending public money wisely? These decisions shape Richmond Hill for decades. They shouldn’t be made without residents taking part. We started with conversations among neighbours and built a platform to ask questions, investigate local decisions and bring people into the room.
Today, Strong Richmond Hill is becoming a familiar name in municipal conversations. We’ve earned that presence by doing the work, not by waiting to be invited. You don’t have to agree with us on everything to add your voice. You can help decide what we take on next.
One resident asking a question can be overlooked. A community asking together is harder to ignore. This is your chance to be part of that community.
“We’ve built a platform. Now imagine what we could do with more people behind it.”
This is what showing up looks like.
Election resources used by candidates and residents, original reporting, and gatherings that bring civic issues off the screen: a few ways our work has made itself useful.
We built a place for Richmond Hill to compare its choices.
The Richmond Hill Votes 2026 Election Hub puts candidate profiles, survey answers and local policy comparisons in one accessible place. Candidates took part in our survey, and some linked residents to the Hub from their campaign websites and social media.
Survey responses let residents compare where candidates stand on local issues.
The Voice the Vote initiative, co-led by Toronto Metropolitan University and United Way Greater Toronto, recognized and supported our non-partisan election-engagement work.
Independent by design. Our survey welcomed participation across the political spectrum; our editorial judgments remain our own.
We made local democracy something people could play.
Our October breakout Game Night turned Richmond Hill’s municipal election into a team challenge, with clues, locked-box puzzles and questions about how our city works. Learning about local decisions doesn’t have to feel like homework.

It’s easy to overlook the hours behind a useful article, a public question, a meeting, or a map. Reading documents takes time. Following up takes persistence. Hosting a local platform and bringing people together costs money.
Every contribution helps sustain independent reporting, useful civic tools and gatherings where neighbours become collaborators. It doesn’t buy influence or guarantee an outcome. It helps make sure residents have a lasting voice — one that keeps doing the research, showing up and asking the next question.
More time for reporting, source-checking, and clear explanations.
Maps, directories, voting records, and resources residents can use.
Accessible gatherings that turn readers into neighbours and collaborators.
Basic running costs so the platform doesn’t depend on one person’s spare time forever.
“Your support doesn’t buy editorial influence. It helps build a voice that matters.”
Don’t just watch our city’s future unfold. Help shape it.
Years from now, when you see what Richmond Hill has become, wouldn’t you rather be able to say, “I was part of that”? You don’t have to be an expert, a politician or a full-time activist. Whether you bring your time, ideas or financial support, there’s a meaningful place for you here.
