Richmond Hill, Ont. — A 63-year-old Richmond Hill man who worked as a math tutor has been charged with sexually assaulting a minor, York Regional Police announced.
According to investigators, the victim — under the age of 16 — came forward on November 12, 2025, reporting that their tutor had allegedly touched them for a sexual purpose during tutoring sessions. Police allege the misconduct took place over multiple lessons between September 2022 and October 2025.
The accused, Kevin Ng, of Richmond Hill, was arrested the following day on November 13, 2025. He has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.
York Regional Police say they believe there may be additional victims and have released a photo of the accused in hopes that others may come forward. Officers noted that sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature, and emphasized that in Canada, there is no statute of limitations for these types of offences — meaning historical incidents can still be reported.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit, or to reach out anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
