A proposal to create an outdoor archery range in a Richmond Hill park was presented to council during its March 11 meeting.
Staff Report
Juni Yeung, representing the E.T. Seton Archery Folk of Toronto and the Toronto Asiatic Archery Group, addressed council during the public forum and suggested establishing a designated outdoor space where traditional archery could be practiced under set safety rules. The idea was raised as part of the city’s broader discussion around its Affirming Parks Policy.
Council also approved minutes from its previous Feb. 25 meeting and adopted items carried forward from the March 4 Committee of the Whole meeting.
Later in the session, council voted to move in camera—a closed portion of the meeting not open to the public—so members could discuss employee labour relations matters.
The March 11 meeting began at 9:30 a.m. and included council announcements and routine procedural items before the closed session.
