The City of Richmond Hill is inviting residents to weigh in on its proposed East Beaver Creek Secondary Plan, which aims to guide growth in the mixed-use area near Highway 7 and East Beaver Creek Road. The plan will shape future land use and development—setting policies on building heights, density, transportation, infrastructure, parks, and open space in anticipation of rapid-transit expansion. Public feedback is being solicited through a short online survey (open until August 27, 2025) and community workshops—held virtually on August 18 and in person on August 20—to discuss draft land-use and design options. Feedback will inform the next phase of policy development, with a “What We Heard” report slated for presentation to Council in October 2025.
