STRH is developing a regular Persian-language (Farsi) podcast focused on Strong Towns ideas in Richmond Hill, with an emphasis on everyday topics such as housing, transportation, public transit, safe streets, and how cities function at a human scale.
The target audience is Iranians living in Richmond Hill who are curious about cities, but may not already be familiar with urban planning concepts.
About the podcast
- The podcast will be entirely in Persian/Farsi.
- There will be a primary voice explaining ideas and examples.
- You would act as a co-host / interviewer, asking questions and reacting in real time.
- The format is unscripted and conversational, not a lecture.
- We will provide suggested questions in advance, but you are encouraged to adjust, rephrase, and ask follow-ups to keep the discussion natural.
- Not being deeply familiar with urbanism is actually a strength β your role is to ask the kinds of questions that naturally come to mind for a thoughtful listener who is new to these topics.
What this is not
- This is not a political podcast.
- It does not promote parties, candidates, or political movements.
- The focus is strictly on urban planning, transportation, housing, and city life, explained in clear, everyday language.
What we are looking for
- Strong conversational skills in Persian
- Curiosity and comfort asking clarifying or βbasicβ questions
- Ability to keep discussions friendly, focused, and engaging
- Interest in podcasting and long-form conversation
- Fluency in Persian/Farsi
Format & commitment
- Recorded on a regular basis (schedule to be discussed)
- Audio-first podcast
- Collaborative, respectful dynamic
