Richmond Hill to host Blue Jays watch party after call from Strong Towns Richmond Hill
Following advocacy from Strong Towns Richmond Hill, the City is inviting residents to come together this Friday, October 24, at 8:00 p.m. for a community watch party at Richmond Green Sports Centre and Park (Parking Lot C, 1300 Elgin Mills Rd E). Fans can gather under the stars to watch the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the World Series on a big outdoor screen.
Residents are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets, and refreshments, and to dress warmly for the evening weather. Alcohol, smoking, and vaping are not permitted, and the event will conclude at the end of the game.
Strong Towns Richmond Hill has long advocated for more local, community-based activities like this one — events that allow residents to enjoy major moments together without having to travel to Toronto. The group says gatherings like this strengthen community connection and give residents a sense of shared pride right here at home.
So grab your Blue Jays gear and head to Richmond Green this Friday to cheer on the team with your neighbours!
