Casual Summer Meetups—Tell Us What You’d Like to See
With warm weather on the horizon, Strong Towns Richmond Hill (STRH) is planning a series of casual summer get-togethers aimed at building community spirit and sparking meaningful conversations—without the formality.
These informal events will be held more frequently over the coming months and are open to everyone who’s interested in making Richmond Hill a stronger, safer, and more connected place. While community discussion will be part of the mix, the focus will also be on fun and relaxation, with games, snacks, and social time to help neighbors connect in a more laid-back setting.
“We want to make it easy for people to drop by, have a good time, and chat about the issues that matter to them,” said Saeed Vahid, STRH Local Conversation Group leader. “It’s about making civic engagement more approachable—and more enjoyable.”
STRH is also asking for input from residents: What kinds of activities would you like to see at these events? More games? Music? Family-friendly themes? Your ideas will help shape the gatherings to reflect the community’s interests.
Share your suggestions with us on social media or by email, and stay tuned for upcoming event dates and locations.
