Taking Transit in Richmond Hill — What’s It Like Right Now?
Quote from Editor on April 20, 2026, 10:26 pmIf you’ve taken transit recently, how was it?
- Reliable?
- Too slow?
- Hard to connect between routes?
And how does it compare to driving?
For a lot of people, traffic is part of the daily routine—sometimes manageable, sometimes frustrating. For others, transit is an alternative, but not always an easy one.
👇 Share your recent experience—whether you took transit, drove, or a bit of both. What worked, and what didn’t?

Quote from Guest on April 25, 2026, 6:19 pmIn my opinion, buses don't run often enough to be a reliable alternative to driving. Some bus routes don't seem to operate at all on weekends.

That's right, but it sounds like a chicken and egg issue to me. As long as people are not using the service and not demanding for a better service, the officials won't offer that reliable service.
The other issue with transit is the development pattern. It's not practical and within a city's resources to offer frequent bus routes to sprawled Neighbourhoods.
