Free Bike Safety Event
Families and cyclists of all ages are invited to a free Bike Safety Event on Friday, June 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Richmond Green Sports Complex, located at 1300 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1M5.
Hosted in partnership with York Regional Police, Road Watch, Strong Towns Richmond Hill (STRH), and other local organizations, the event offers a hands-on opportunity to learn about bike safety, rules of the road, and how to ride with confidence.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their bike and helmet, as well as a completed and printed waiver, which is required for participation in any riding activities. Volunteers and safety experts will be on hand to offer helmet fittings, bike inspections, and practical safety tips.
The event is part of an ongoing effort to promote active transportation and ensure that cyclists—especially younger riders—feel safe and supported on Richmond Hill’s roads and trails. Whether you’re a new rider or a seasoned cyclist, this is a great opportunity to brush up on your skills and connect with the community.
