Mayor David West attended  Strong Towns Richmond Hill (STRH)’s monthly meeting on Sunday, May 4. The meeting was started by Saeed Vahid, STRH local conversation group leader, offering a short introduction to our priorities. Then Mayor West answered our questions on various municipal and urban subjects such as housing and zoning, transportation and transit, street safety and city finances.

We are proud of the positive relationship we have built with Mayor West, City Council members, and city staff over the past few months. Their openness and collaboration have been key to advancing conversations around safer streets, sustainable development, and a vibrant community life in Richmond Hill.

The meeting took place at 10225 Yonge St. Unit R. thanks to the generous offer by FlexSpace Inc.  and it’s owners Shadi and Lena Guiguis. We look forward to more productive and inspiring conversation with Mayor West and to continuing our collaborative efforts toward a stronger Richmond Hill.
