A 30-year-old Richmond Hill man has been charged with voyeurism and criminal harassment after allegedly following and secretly recording women inside a local store.
York Regional Police said officers were called to a shopping centre near Yonge Street and Carrville Road on Thursday, July 9. Loss-prevention staff reportedly recognized the man because of previous allegations that he had filmed customers without their knowledge.
Police allege the man followed two women through the store while holding a cellphone. He was then observed bending down behind one of them and appearing to record underneath her skirt.
Officers arrived shortly afterward and took the suspect into custody.
Police identified the accused as Nicholas Rossinski, 30, of Richmond Hill. He has been charged with voyeurism and criminal harassment. The allegations have not been proven in court.
Investigators released his photograph because they believe there may be additional victims.
