Voter information packages are arriving ahead of the October 26 municipal election. Check your details, keep your voting PIN private and contact the City if yours is missing.

Richmond Hill’s voter information packages are arriving in mailboxes as the municipal election approaches. The City says packages have been mailed to eligible voters whose names appeared on the Voters’ List at the end of September.
The package explains how to vote online or in person, lists Vote Centre locations and includes the credentials needed for online voting. Check your information and keep the package somewhere safe. Do not share your voting PIN or package with anyone, including candidates, or post an unredacted photograph online.
Online voting opens Tuesday, October 20, at 10 a.m. and closes Monday, October 26, at 8 p.m. In-person voting is available at any of the City’s seven Vote Centres on October 24 and 25, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and October 26, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Bring your package and valid identification showing your name and address.
Haven’t received yours?
Start with the City’s voter information tool to check whether you are on the Voters’ List and whether your details are correct. Online checking and applications are available until 11:59 p.m. on October 24.
If you need to add your name or correct most details, submit an application, then visit Access Richmond Hill, 225 East Beaver Creek Road, during regular business hours before October 24. From October 24 to 26, visit a Vote Centre with valid identification instead. Changes to school board support or postal code can be submitted online for approval.
If you are already listed correctly but your package has not arrived, contact the election team at 905-771-5555 or elections@richmondhill.ca for help. Missing mail does not mean you should give up on voting: the City can help you confirm the next steps.
If a package arrives for a former resident, do not open or forward it. Mark the envelope “Return to Sender” and put it in a mailbox.
Before casting your ballot, explore Strong Richmond Hill’s election hub for candidate information and election coverage.
